Scott Copeland
Scott Copeland is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Torvia.
For a decade he ran Armanino's audit and assurance practice as its CEO, growing it from $23 million to $168 million in revenue while scaling the team from 75 professionals to more than 600 and the partner group from 10 to 62. Organic growth averaged 12 to 13 percent a year, ahead of the industry every year he led it. He sat on the firm's executive committee for 13 years and led its M&A integrations, holding partner and professional retention above 90 percent through every one.
That decade also put him at the audit committee table often enough to see the structural problem. Boards were governing on evidence that was already months old, because testing ran on samples and the work behind it lived outside any system of record.
Strategy execution involves risk-taking, and organizations build a system of internal control to manage that risk. Scott co-founded Torvia in July 2025 to make that system keep pace: the AI-native operating system that keeps internal control aligned with strategy, turning it from an anchor on the business to the confidence to accelerate.
He is a CPA, an NACD Certified Director, and an SEC-qualified audit committee financial expert. He serves on the board of CVNL.
